K9Knitters - crafty folks helping rescue dogs!
Last updated: 3rd March 2010Welcome to the K9knitters website where our crafty team have achieved an AMAZING fundraising figure since we started in 2006. Over the past four years, we have raised over £14,000 for dog rescue charities.
During 2010, we are supporting three charities - Dogs Trust (as we do each year), Tailends in Devon (for a second year), and The Little Dog Rescue. You can read more about these three charities on this page here. When you buy a coat or snood from the K9knitters range, 100% of proceeds go to one of these three charities - and you get to choose which of the three charities gets your donation!
Your support can help these rescue organisations keep up their excellent work - so dig deep, and let’s make 2010 a record breaking year for fundraising!
You can find our range of coats for sale here and we also have a range of Snoods that you can buy for greyhounds and other pointy dogs. See the snoods that we have in stock here. And perfect for cats, dogs and little hoomans, we have a range of beautifully handcrafted quilts for sale. See our quilts here.

I’d like to wish all the knitters lots of luck in this venture and I hope you continue to raise lots of money for all the rescues out there. They certainly need all the help they can get, there are sadly far to many dogs in rescue and funding is extremely important to help each individual animal.
Keep up the good work and long may it continue.
Good luck with this fantastic venture - keep up the good work!!

Good luck with your venture and I will be sorting some Wool and needles for you. I got one of my dogs from Sadberg (he is sadly deceased now) and I realy think all the dogs need our help.
ahhhhhh thanks silvia, all donations are gratefully received. Sadberge is a wonderful place with many heartbreaking stories so it is a great pleasure to help with support from people like yourself

Much love to you

Hi
I am trying to get rescues to put forward a dog who would like a coat for this Winter..then hopefully someone will come forward and buy the coat for this lucky dog from K9knitters.
This is a win win situation. A dog gets to keep warm, and other dogs get to benefit from the money raised in the selling of these lovely coats.
So please everyone think of ‘buying’ a coat for a dog in Rescue this Winter.
Our lovely less fortunate friends really need our help.
Thanks for all the support from Dog Rescue Page members for the sponsorship of dogs at Greyhound Gap, who will be kept lovely, warm and cozy this winter thanks to your support
please forward pattern for dog coat 23 kg medium size as bought ay Halloween night at Sadberge Dog shop
thank you
Hi, I wondered if you had any downloadable posters to publicise the “coat shop”? As I thought I’d put some up in the various local vets, if that is OK?
Andrea
Thanks to all the new coats from our very latest knitters. They are soooooooo fantastic. What a great band of volunteer knitters we now have. Thanks to you all for making this such a success now xx
hi do you sell the patterns at all? if could you contact me as i think some rescues down here could do with some new coats and some elderly ladies would love to do some at the club
What a fantastic website. Great work ! Found your website listed in the Simply Knitting Diary 2007. I am sure the club will go from strength to strength. I would love to do some knitting for you.
many thanks for selecting the Oldies Club as your second charity for 2007, with so many deserving causes out there the decision to select who will benefit from your generosity was I’m sure not easy …….. we sincerely appreciate your kindness!
Hi Jill - Just want to say Thank you on behalf of Poppy and Jasper for their gorgeous knitted coats - as regulars in the muddy wet river walk, these woolies do just the job at warming them up after yet another dip in the bath lol.
Thank you to all the knitters for the wonderful work you all do - wishing you a supa fundraising year in 2007. Big hugs and kisses to you all. Kelly
I just wanted to say another huge thank you to the K9 knitters team for helping me raise funds to get Flo Springer brought over from Ireland, Flo was in a PTS situation until I offered her a safe place here with me for asessing before rehoming, she is currently in a safe rescue waiting for her transport over, as soon as she is here I will give you all an update. Thanks again all of you, you all deserve gold stars.
Congratulations on a brilliant idea. I’m downloading your posters to distribute locally (Winchester and Stockbridge) and will see if I can find you some more knitters/wool as well. Alas I’m ashamed to say that I can’t knit.
Keep up the fantastic sowk,
Phyllis, Max (rescued collie anfd the best boy in the world) and Lyra.
Hi,
I’m in the US and am glad to have come across your page - I have been snowed in for 4 days!
I would like to know if I may reproduce the iimage on your page of the girl knitting and the dog on the stairway. I would like to use it for the front of my knitting bag.
Thank you for your consideration,
Jane Marriott
I came across your organization in a craft magazine and having knitted many coats before, I had to join. I have just finished my first coat for you-many more to come!
Keep on clacking everyone.
Alison.
Wonderful scheme. My Galgo feels uncomfortable in wool but I’ll see if Tailends has an elderly/ill dog who needs a coat.
My little Yorky Pixie loves her new coat, many thanks to all yoiu great knitters out there, wish I could join you but knarled fingers and failing eyesight stops me. regards Lady Sheala
